I was researching these for my Speedlights that I currently use on stands with umbrellas.

Does anyone have any positive or negative feedback on these? They supposedly just also released a 24" version as well.

Are there alternatives that I should consider? Anything cheaper?

Thanks,
Mike

I guess perhaps the best question is..... what is the best way to mount soft boxes to speedlights? I also saw a Photoflex solution on B&H.

Hi,

I don't own an Ezybox but I have checked them out. They're very nice devices and well made. I think they would be more popular with a lower price tag but you can't beat the convenience and quick setup.

If you're looking for other alternatives you can check out the Photoflex bracket (external link) and Photoflex speedring (external link) and then you can choose between small softboxes from Photoflex (external link), Chimera and Westcott.

I use the q39 off camera and another on camers with stofen diffuser - Have just ordered another 580 to use in the setup

Just be careful what brackets you get to attach the flash to the tripod etc - some use a very small screw that is US - Hama do an adjustable hot shoe mount that looks good.

The photex Litedome is good

Hi Dawn,

Please post a review once you've had a chance to give it a test.

I recently got the Ezybox Hotshoe in the 15" x 15" size and it works great. It's really easy to setup too.
