A shot from a local break.... nothing special just to show how big it was, shooting was tough with a ton of mist in the air... more to come

Wow i wish i went to blacks, i wasted my time waiting for big rock to start workin( never DID), settled for surfing the cliffs.

man, that is big! Whats that above and to the right of the person? almost looks like a pair of dolphins, but my eyes might be playing tricks.

Thanks Mikeassk...i showed up at big rock too at 4:45 in the morning, wasnt working so i went to a couple places in la jolla i knew would be.

TopGear... its another surfer duck diving (trying to at least) the wave

Ah, I see it. Not being a surfer myself, common sense told me no one would actually be able to go under a wave that big! If I was on a tiny little board and saw a wave like that coming at me, I would just make peace with my certain death! Learn something everyday.

The duck dive allows the wave to go over you and you pop out the other side..... as long as you dont leave it to late and the wave breaks on your back :rolleyes:

This is about the largest surf you are able to duck dive. to much bigger and there is just to much water ( and too much board under you) to get through.

sick! I'm going to try surfing for the first time in Eleuthera this spring and bet even the little stuff scares me. waves like you shot are simply insane (and I know guys tow into much bigger!). beauty!
