Have anyone experiece 30D shutter button fail? I think my 30D button is going to fail. The syndrome now is when I fully press the shutter button (the click) doesn't fire the shutter everytime. I need to press it hard. This is definitely not normal. I wonder if this is typical for 30D? If this a problem what should I do? I think my warranty has just expired.

I've seen a few reports of shutter button failing on this board, but I didn't get the impression that any camera model was more susceptible to this issue.

I had the same problem as you on my 10D earlier this year, sent it to a service centre in Glasgow, repair cast £126

I had same problem with 10D as jim9449 .
Some times it would fire with barely any pressure at all and at other times you just about had to press the button through the bottom of the camera before it would fire.
Sounds like a trip to Canon.
