I just noticed that the plate that surrounds the tripod socket on my BG-E4 is buldged out a little bit--but the one on my BG-E2 isn't. Can someone else with a BG-E4 confirm whether there's is flat along the bottom, or bulges out a little. It sort of looks like its supposed to be like that, I just want to make sure its not broken (or breaking).

I've attached a picture, but its kind of difficult to see.

Thanks!

Hello,

I got my 5D and grip back in September and noticed the same thing with mine. It has been on my camera since, with 2 batteries installed and all has been fine.

Happy Holidays
Peace
Mark

If you mean it is not recessed so that it is completely flush with the body, until now I have never noticed but yeah mine is just like yours.

You know, I just never notice tiny things like that. I just grab a camera, throw a lens on it and shoot. Is there something wrong with me? :)
