Hello all... I was going to pose my question to the G&N section, but alas, I am not allowed. But I really need some advice.
I have been asked to do a "boudoir" type shot for a friend of mine to give her boyfriend for his birthday. What she wants is a shot that doesn't SHOW anything "private" (if you catch my drift), but is all skin or mostly skin.
I have a set of studio lights, but 1 of them is out of commission at the moment. Will 1 light be suitable? I have an umbrella (1 is white/silver and 1 is solid white and the light is more harsh through it than the white/silver), not a softbox... any advice on the best placement of the lighting for the best effect? (soft, sexy, artistic not porno)
I have never shot anything like this before and she knows this, but she's comfortable with me and I am looking forward to the challenge. Also I have a black backdrop and a white backdrop... we are both leaning towards the black backdrop, but would it be worth trying a couple against the white? ANY advice or tips anyone can offer me would be really helpful.

Turn the power down on the light, and find a gold reflector to shoot the light at this should give a warm tone to the image. If you have a fast lens just use natural window light.

Use both backdrops, white can be used for highkey setup.
