Tethered shooting with LR

I hope this is the right forum for this, but I'm hoping someone can help with this problem. I want to shoot tethered into Lightroom, using Canon's EOS Utility. I have set all the required folders in both programs ie Watched Folder, Destination Folder etc and the shots I take do indeed finish up in the Watched Folder. However, every time I take a shot, I have to import it into Lightroom. Is there a way of making the pictures automatically appear on the screen without my having to import them each time? I have made sure that the Enable Auto Import option is checked. Thanks for any help you can give.

It has something to do with enabling auto import in the file menu. I just read about this in Scott Kelby's book that I just bought. But I am a complete beginner and I have never tried that before.

Sorry Roy, I missed that. I just read the section in my book on tethering and it seems you have done everything the books says. Sorry I can't help, but at least I am giving you some bumps .

I use this, and it works great. All I've ever done (and do with each new shoot) is go to;

file, auto import, auto import settings. Set the watched folder, then set the destination folder.

During the shoot, I'll have LR open with my destination folder as the open library location. Works great for me. I don't remember having to do anything else to make it work.
