430ex flash head, yellowish?

hey guys

I recently picked up a 580ex, and when its side by side with my 430ex, it seems like the 580ex has a much more "whiter" color to it than my 430ex.

Is this normal? The 430ex I bought new, so I dont know if this is just the case with 430's or if mine is just discolored somehow? (its not like super yellow, just slightly offcolored)

for the people who own both the 580ex and 430ex, does the 580ex seem to charge up much faster when you flick the switch on? i've tried with the same set of batteries, in my 430 it takes 2-3 seconds before the red pilot light comes up, but with my 580ex, its virtually instant.

Should be the same color of light. Is this being seen in the images or are you judging by your naked eye? I don't have a 430EX so I can't tell you about charge times. If the 580EX is charging virtually instantly, then it seems to me that it must have saved the previous charge in the capacitors. How long between shutting them off and turning them back on?
