I recently purchased a Cannon PowerShot S500 Digital ELPH. The default resolution is 2048 x 1536 pixels. I am an amateur and don't know much about digital photography. Is there any way I can go directly from the camera to a perfect 4in x 6in print without cropping? It seems the best I've been able to do is size to 4.5 x 6.0 then crop the 4.5 dimension to 4.0 OR size to 4.0 x 5.33 then have white space on both sides of the 5.33 dimension. It just seems like there should be a camera setting I could make that would override the default to get pictures scaleable to a perfect 4 x 6 printable image. Thanks for any help you can give me. Fred

You can't get a perfect 4x6 from that camera. A 4x6 print has a 2:3 aspect ratio, whereas 1536x2048 has a 3:4 aspectration. You're going to have to crop a bit for a 4x6.

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.
