Hello I am new to the forum and I shoot a lot of BB from West Point
So here is my first post from tonight's game:)

I always like to do at least 1 sequence shot. I have two sequences today.

It was a close game today but Army fell to Quinnipac. Wish me luck I have a meeting with the Director of Media relations on Thursday.

Ok being new here I will give you a little run down of what and how I shoot.
Equipment is a Canon 20D with a Sigma 28-70 2.8 / 70-200 2.8 and a Canon 85 1.8
I do a custom WB using the WhiBal (external link) card and shoot manual mode at 1600ISO 1/500@2.8 / with the 85mm I drop the ISO to 800 and go to f/2.0.

If you don't have deadlines you may want to think about shoot in raw mode.

What would be my advantage to shooting in RAW? I am thinking my WB is fine. In RAW I only get 6 burst into the buffer in jpeg I get 23 to the buffer. At this point I really don't have any PP. Shooting in RAW only would add a step.

If you think shooting in RAW is better for 1 reason or another please share...

If you are shooting at high-ISO the quality of raw images is higher and removal of color noise tends to be automatic in raw converters. What do these photos look like blown up?

OK That makes sense. I'll give it a shot my next time around.

Unless they had purplish uniforms, that WB is mal-adjusted.

However, I will say that I think shooting in RAW is a waste of time also.
