I dont have a lot to spend on a flash but I was thinking about getting this one. Its price is actually pushing the limits on what I can spend so adding more to it and getting something else is pretty much out of the question. But will this serve me ok?

Look at offerings from Sigma. Search the forums for sigma flash and see what pops up. This way at least you can get something someone here has had experience with.

For the price it's expensive junk. Better to look for a real Canon flash.

Agree with rhys on this one.

A flash will serve its purpose for a long time and will always impress you with its abilities. The 430ex is a cheap enough flash and will do the job very well.

I never realised how much a decent flash can help you pull out a higher rate of keepers. I dont see that happening with that flash.

If your new to flash and just want basic auto exposure look for a used 420EX, it can be had in your price range and later on when you buy a better master capable flash the 420 would make a great off camera slave.

60D, Canon 18-135 IS, Sigma 10-20 hsm, 24-70 2.8 hsm, 70-200 2.8 hsm, 430EX II, and all the other stuff that goes along with it.

Interesting note on that ad - the flash was guaranteed to fit on the camera, not work on the camera.

I think you made a wise choice on the Sigma.
