I figured that's what it was. Go for a longer exposure. It's obviously mounted on a tripod... Go to f/11 and give it a nice one second or so exposure depending. As far as focus goes... just try and guess the best you can I guess. Get a stand in. Focus on it and then stand exactly in that place :) Easier said than done, I know.

Get hubby to focus for you, unless he doesnt like these photos. ???

Yeah. I was at 1/15 f4.5. Umm...tripod....sure. Mine broke so I was using the old sock under the lens with camera sitting on a laundry basket on the bed thing. I used a chair as a stand in to get the focus better than last time. I also had a mirror next to the camera so I could make sure that some things weren't showing. I think I need to remember to look at the camera once I get the pose right. As for hubby, he was gone today and probably wouldn't like me doing those type of pics. And, the last time I had him use my camera I had a bunch of OOF shots when it was on the green box. He's hopeless. My only hope is for my mom to help sometime.

Well when Natalie gets preggo I am going to do weekly pictures of her. I think it's awesome to have maternity photos. :)

At least your mom can come help you. Sounds like you have quite the setup there. You need a tripod girl :)

I know. But, I don't want to buy another hell-mart POS so I'm waiting on it for the moment. I want to get a nice one that I can use for portraits as well as outdoor stuff. Any recommendations?

My bogen manfrotto 3021 is really sturdy and fairly affordable. I got it paired with the 488rc2 head. $259 for the combo over a year ago. That model was just replaced by the 055XPROB.

I know that's quite a bit of money for a tripod but it'll last forever.

I really like my Dynatran setup, very cheap, and they are pretty close to the models that the imitate. Search in the accessories forum, you will find lots of info on them.

I was going to ask why in the world is it so quiet in the forums then I realized there's a football game on. No wonder the grocery store was quiet.

From scratch or a box? Either way sounds good right about now.

well i just got my 10-20 and the only thing there was my cousins caddie outside

same post as vortexes :), testing!

But my post was before his :p

Well, you asked for commentary on the photo not the kind of car you were shooting. And, around here, we don't see many caddys. I can't even remember the last time I saw one. A big a$$ truck however, those are a dime a dozen.:D

If you are including all caddy's, an Escalade IS a big ass truck. People seem to think they are a status symbol or something. I just think they are ridiculous, along with the female (not being sexists) smokers who drive HUGE SUV's that have never left been on anything but pavement.

I'm trying to eat healthy and you just HAD to bring this up. Now that means you have to send me some (or at least the recipe along with a pic ;) )

Nah, but a kid I work with won $50 (at least I think he did). He said that he bet HIS friend that the Pats would loose, and when I got home I found out that they lost :( (I was born in Connecticut so I'm a natural Pats fan even though I don't care about football)
