Well here's some great news.... I just got a phone call from Justin Jimenez with 9 news here in Denver. I sent him an email with some work I have done and whatnot, and they are looking for some photographers to help them complete a project in order to get their name listed on www.metromix.com (external link)

It's going to be a 5-6 week period of doing assignments, with some compensation at the end. It isnt much but with the experience I could gain by doing this and the resume glitter that will come from this, I think it is definitely worth doing.

I'll be meeting with him tomorrow or Friday to sign an agreement. I'm going to see if there's any way I can get into some pro sporting events, ie: colorado avalanche or the denver nuggets to shoot some sports shots. Even college stuff would be fun! Mainly it's just stuff around the downtown area, bars, clubs, restaurants, shops etc.

I'm just excited that my work was liked enough to be contacted by such a well known corporation. :)

Congrats, and all that jazz. Sounds like an excellent opportunity. Good for you!

Hmmm, sorry I missed this when I was reading earlier, but congrats. Sounds like a good chance for some fun times.

So much for getting my 20x24 framed metallic print of my avatar today.

I OFFICIALLY HATE FEDEX. This is 0 for 2. I'm going to avoid them at all costs now. I didnt have any other choice but them when chosing overnight delivery at mpix.

I'm pretty upset. It is supposed to be here by 3pm today... They have 33 minutes to get it here and it is still in Memphis, TN...

I don't know what is up with them lately but my boss is pissed at them because they have been holding his stock shipment for the scuba shop for a while (I think). They even held it for an additional 2 days after he called to see where it was, but I think he finally got them to deliver yesterday or something. Odd thing is my Aunt has never had a problem with FedEx and she uses them all the time for overnight and whatever (and she runs an advertising agency so things need to get TO the client to be approved).

That sucks. Sucks too that you paid extra and won't get a refund. I'd try pushing Mpix customer service.

Let us know how it turns out. Who's the guy in the vehicle? Random person or family member?

HaHA. Jeff was only cream for 70 posts before the TF whacked him. Although, with the poll about a name change he started-he was asking for it.

ROFLMAO!

I'd say the TF was either late on getting him before he hit 5K or the TF was just giving him an opportunity to get used to "Cream of the Crop" before he/she struck.

Ahhh, nothing like a workout followed by a banana and MORE water. I think I might be firming up finally, but I can't really see any change

It's from the thread about me asking if I should change my name back or keep it.
