Morning everyone!

That would so fun to go see Tiff, I think that you should get sick as well. ;)

The pictures look great, and I like the selective coloring.

I found out yesterday that POTN might get blocked from work   I don't know what I will do. There is a chance that it will not get blocked though, they are changeing the salespeople's computers so that they can only visit a certain list of sites, but I do not know if the blocks will affect my computer, and I was too scared to ask because I didn't want them to think that I care.

Morning Brooke! Thanks for the comments on the pics. My only problem now is that her mom really likes the head-turned one and is thinking of printing it big and I cropped it out of a horizonal, full body 4x6 so I don't know if it'll print 8x10 (PS says it's 2inx3in at 300ppi). So, I need to find Tim's printing and enlarging FAQ. And, I'd LOVE to get sick but I think that I may get busted if I were to try it. JON feel free to chime in on this one. :)

I don't know what I'd do if POTN got blocked! I'd probably get a LOT more accomplished. That would suck. ;)

Good morning folks! It's a lovely rainy, foggy day here in SW WI. At least it's not doing that other nasty weather thing. I'm sitting here feeling very sad and wishing I had the afternoon off work tomorrow. Johnny Depp and Christain Bale are going to be 14 miles from me (equidistant from where I work and live) filming a movie about John Dillinger. I wish I could go and see what a Hollywood production looks like and take some pics (maybe make out with either one of them ;) jk). Sadly, I must stay here and babysit squirrely teenagers that are disrespectful and rude. Oh, well. I'll just pretend that I got to see them. ;) Or, maybe they'll have to reschedule to Thursday afternoon when I get done at 1pm and I can head over there.

Anyway, all grumping aside, here are the other 2 pics from my session this saturday that her mom asked for.

Cool, is John Dillinger the guy they named the "Dillinger" gun after? (Dumb question but whatever). Movie sets are nothing all that great if they are filming an existing building/place. My aunt lives about 2 miles from where they filmed the third (I think) church in "Runnaway Bride" (I'm pretty sure it is the one where she makes her escape on a UPS truck).

Well, my Mom is taking me to Penn Camera today so hopefully by tonight I will have my lenses. She talked to me last night about it and said the reason she gets annoyed at me for that stuff is because money is a little awkward right now. She had to pay something for my grandmother's funeral, she had to pay our mortgage, she had to pay for my brother's dance competition a short while ago but she feels that she needs to pay for my camera stuff to. According to her she pays for the dance stuff because it is my brother's "carreer" and she promised to treat us eaqually, thus she promised to pay for the things for my carrer. I told her my view that I think I would appreciate the gear more (and be proud of it) if I paid for it on my own (even though after going through my deposites I think I would be about $200 short). A few years ago my Dad agreed with my brother and I that for any big ticket items we wanted, he and Mom would pay half if we paid the other half so I think that is probably what we'll do for the lenses. Technically since both lenses cost the same they would be paying half but I would still have the privalage *sp* of buying an entire lens on my own. Like my Dad suggested, I will show Mom the differences between what I have and what I want to get/will be getting.

Ok, well.....is anybody awake after that (or did anybody even bother reading the entire thing)?

Morning Brooke, morning Tiff

Well, THAT's exciting. It's very nice of your mom to finally sit you down and explain things to you like an adult. I bet it makes you feel better (and maybe a little less bitter). Maybe if you have the money, tell her that since money is a little tight right now you can pay for them (if they pony up the $200 difference) and they can pay you back later.

The fact that she took the time to talk to me about it made me feel better. She's stubborn so I think she'll just pay for them upfront and then transfer half the cost out of my account and into hers.

That is good Kitten, when I bought my camera my parents paid for about $700 of it, and I paid them back over the next few months. It is a great feeling to know that you have earned the money and paid for things yourself.

On another note, AT&T now has refurbished iPhones for $249, that is $150 less than new with the same warranty, I think that I am going to go ahead and buy one and unlock it for use on T-mobile. I have been tossing around the decision for months, and I think this finally put me over the edge.

Parents try not to discuss their financial situation with their kids, they don't want to discourage them from leaving the house one day and find out it isn't as easy as it was made to look. Feel fortunate you are able to get this great equipment.

[Rant] I drive a 93 Ford Probe with 146,000 miles and a 97 Chrysler Town and Country van with 240,000 miles on it. That averages out to 193,000 miles. I pass high schools daily were kids ride around in new or fairly new vehicles that I would love to own myself. For now though I'll just live the dream of maxing out the credit cards living check to check. Have a nice day. [/Rant]

I know it's not easy to earn money (that's why I'm a penny-pincher).

Trade them in and get a ports car ;)

You could have fooled me, there have been plenty of times when my posts go ignored/un-noticed

That is no fun, I have been very lucky to have parents who taught me very good money habits, and so I am one of those young kids who drives a nice car (not a BMW or anything, but a nice new car) and has nice things. I am not in debt however, and will always be grateful for the fact that I am learning good habits now. ( I also paid for ALL of it myself, I did not have it given to me by mommy and daddy like so many others) I do however fully expect to go through some rough times financially when I get married and start a family, but i hope that my good decisions now will make it easier.

I am also very careful with my money, as stated above it takes me months to decide to spend a couple hundred bucks, even when I have the money to spare.

Yeah, even when I have plenty of money I still hesitate and ask if I really need to buy something or if it can wait.

Working at a dealership they should give you a car to use to commute ;)

Yup, I think it will be a good bag but I still want to get a look at it before I buy it

See mine is actually a pratical car that will be good when I have kids. (4dr 2007 Honda Civic) Which is part of why I bought it, better to prepare with a nice car now that to have to try and buy one when the kiddos are here.

Time to change the sig to easter colors. :)
