Used should be much less.

They are actaully not a ton less, it is that resale value thing again. We call it the blessing and the curse of Hondas. (it is a blessing when resaleing, but a curse when trying to get a good deal on used)

I buy only Toyotas now, as they are very reliable and cost effective. Only bad thing, I want a Lexus really badly. :)

My friend with the CRV wants a toyota sienna. She priced it out since they have a 0% financing deal going on. $40,000. Ouch.

Oh, so a used isn't much cheaper than a new one?

I worked at a Chevy dealer way back when I was young and naive like you kids, the dealer would charge employees $50 over dealer invoice which was okay. Actual GM employees (the factory workers and execs.)got another 15% off of that, never understood why the people working to sell your vehicles were not considered GM employees.

Well today I went to Penn Camera with Mom and reserved a Canon 24-70 L and a 70-200/2.8 NON-IS L. The 24-70 is getting there tomorrow around 11 so I should have it in my hands by 1, and the 70-200 is getting shipped in by the end of the week. Total cost will be about $2400 (my parent's are paying for half because it is a "big ticket item"), but I'm probably also going to get a $50 Bogen mono-pod and probably a UV filter for each lens but for some reason the filter I saw was marked at $109 (I think it was a Hoya) and there weren't any other 77mm UV's. If I don't get one tomorrow I will definitely go to Best Buy and get a card reader.

Sounds like a party in your pants. Good for you, can't wait to see the images you'll be able to pull off with those awesome acquisitions. (4minute response time, not bad for an old person.)

 I'm not sure that's what it is (maybe when I have a gf that will aplly ;) ). Oh yeah, definitly going to be posting pictures like crazy once I start using them nice pieces of glass :D I'm thinking once I get better I might go over to the VFC and ask if I can get a portable scanner or pager from them and go take pics of some calls they get. If I'm not too busy on weekends during the summer I will also try to shoot some sports because I live right across the street from a highschool that has 2-3 baseball fields, a football field, track and a field hockey/lacrosse field.

Yeah.....and because I really really really want to take some pictures. With new lenses on the way I might finally get my photography projects done before the course expires (if it hasn't already). The only problem I think I might have is finding somebody to model for me for the portrait part of the project...............oooooh Brooke

Well, you're already spending $2400 why not tack on $25 and get the wireless remote and try some selfies. There's some killer stuff posted in the people section from time to time.
