Markin plate + RSS QR lever clamps

Hey Guys,

I am going to replace the Markins Q3 clamp with the RRS quick release lever clamp, so I was wondering if the Markin's G9 plate will be compatible with the RRS clamp?

To ensure compatibility with our lever-release clamps, we do offer a plate trade-in discount. If you already own Arca-style plates from other manufacturers (Kirk, Foba, Markins, AcraTech, Novoflex, or Arca-Swiss), we offer a $22.50 exchange discount towards purchase of a Really Right Stuff quick-release plate."

So I'm guessing: No. Not sure though. Why not call / email them?

most SHOULD fit, but there's no guarantee that it will.

People sometimes have problems getting wimberley sidekicks to fit in to RRS QR clamps and that's because the QR clamps don't open as wide as older traditional screw clamps...and therefore may not have enough room to fit it in. That said, many people have no problem, so unless you're dying to get it right instantly, i'd try it out with your markins plate and see if it fits. If it doesn't send it in and get a replacement RRS plate.

Since the RSS clamp is not adjustable, I would follow the recommendation and use either a Wimberley or RSS plate. As an aside, my Arca Swiss lever clamp is adjustable and I can use anybody's plates.

But if you already have the Markins plate I'd give it a try at least before spending the extra bucks.
