Well, I'm doing my annual laundry at the end of this month, so England will be habitable for at least the first few months of 2008.

Crumbs... I just realised - it's not radioactive waste dumped from Selllafield (aka Windscale) into the Irish Sea that's polluting the sea. It's English laundry!

It's closer to the truth than you first imagined. I actually tow my underpants behind a speedboat up and down from the Bristol channel to the Irish sea for a couple of days, then land them near Weston-super-Mare where the Ministery of Defence collect them and take them to the Admiralty Research Establishment near Portsmouth for ironing.

In Paris, almost got robbed of my 5Dii. Lesson to thief...never try and steal from a guy holding a Manfrotto tripod with a 486RC2 head on the end of it :)
