I went to Yunnan, China the first week of November. Here are some pictures I took during the trip. Your critics and comments are welcome.

Very nice they all look so calming and tranquil, not really what you expect to see.

Nice series, thanks for sharing. Especially like the first with the recurring orange. Are you using a GRad ND filter? It looks a little aggressive on 1 and 4. The first would be much stronger if you lightened the sky - it's unnatural for the sky to be darker than its own reflection. Thanks a lot, Mike

This is a great series of images. Very much like "the 3 Pagodas"!

Thank you for your comments. No I did not use Grad ND filter, but I used a polarizer instead. The air was so clear and the sky was real blue that morning.

Excellent series! The odd thing is, is that I never realised that Shangri-la actually existed until I saw you're first shot. You really never stop learning things do you?
Thanks for that.

Cheers
Bill

Gorgeous part of China, and well photographed. Did you trek the Tiger Leaping Gorge ? Stunning scenery where the mountain rises almost straight up for 4 km above the Yangtze River as it forces itself through the narrow gorge. I spent 2 months trekking China in 2001 and loved it.

The unknown is magnificent

As previously stated, this is a great series! I think my personal favorites though are the Stone forest and the one from the lushui jinsa show. Although, I'm sure if you were to ask me again in ten minutes, that could very well change.
