Great advice so far! thanks!

LOL, Is this a thing you'd buy from an outdoors store, or do I need to go catch myself a raccoon :p

I know deer hunters in our area use scent blocker. It is a spray, soap, laundry detergent. They also use tree stands and ground blinds.

Another thought, I live in a development with a drainage area. There are 5 deer that sleep in this fence off drainage area. They are in the middle of the neighborhood and are use to people walking, running and driving by all the time. Maybe your neighborhood has one of those. If so, chances are deer will be living there and use to people. Easily can get close to them. Good luck!

Thanks, Paul

I've gotten a few pretty decent shots, and I got both of these (same buck) driving down the road. I saw a doe in some pine tree, pulled off the road and got out to get a few of her. She started to run and that's when he stood up, I didn't see him from the road. He took off and I ran after him a bit and got these. They turned out pretty decent, considering I was running down a dirt road trying to get a shot off.

I've never sat in a blind and waited, I just lucked into mine.
