Ok it's the 4th time I've gotten a smashed box from BH /w UPS shipping. This time it was even opened! The item inside is fine, however the box that it came in and the product box itself was smashed. This happened to my 10-22, 24-70 and 50f1.4

It happened to me twice so far, but the items inside are ok. I think B&H need to buy better box and stronger tape.

Beachcamera has been worst for me. All of my order came beat up.

Its really funny, because when I order used from member here or used on ebay, it always come nicely package and not beat up at all.

The box did its job. End of story. No need for a thread.

What are you guys whining about? B&H obviously packaged the shipment so that the item arrived undamaged. What else do you want? If you have a complaint about how badly the shipping container was deformed then take it up with the shipper.
If you wish to complain effectively then learn to complain properly.

Ok well the point of making this thread was because I wanted to see if this has happened to anybody besides me? Since it has happened to me more than once. I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Was this ground shipping? I haven't had a problem like that with UPS 2day air.

No Vince, B&H just has it in for you ;-)a
I once received a very expensive Epson printer ( I don't recall from whom I purchased it) that was shipped via FedEx. It arrived in a shipping box that was soaking wet and falling apart. The FedEx guy would not let me inspect it until i had signed for it, either accept it or send it back. Well the printer is still working grandly but I was really Pi$$ed at FedEx and let them know about it. (For all the good it did) I also told the vendor about it. Who do I blame? FedEx of course. The vendor has no control once it leaves them.

I don't think its B&H's fault, its most likely the UPS guy. Almost all my UPS packages comes like that... well without the torn tape of course. But you do live pretty far away.. so it might have been rolling around the truck while its getting there.

Totaly agree, this is the shipping company fault, this parcel left B&H in a correct state, they would never ship something in that state.
Don't blame the vendor, but the shipping company.
I ordered many times from B&H, I'm in Belgium and never had any issue with them.
I think it was with US airmail or something like that, but not UPS or FedEx.

Laurent.

It's not "the UPS Guy"s fault either. There isn't just one guy hauling a package from NY to its destination. Any given package is in potentially hundreds of hands and conveyors.

i think it's more of a thread about ordering something...paying a good amount of money for it...and having people treat it like crap...if every package ordered from b&h was delivered like this...they wouldn't still be doing business...your analogy is ridiculous, and there's no reason to respond to the o.p. if you're just going to rip him for posting this thread

While abusing packages isn't right, and shouldn't be accepted, the box did exactly what it was designed to do...it protected the contents. It just happened to turn to crap in the process of doing its job. Bullet proof vests do the same thing. Bullets don't bounce off of 'em and the vest doesn't stay in perfect condition even after taking a hit. If you still can't see the connection, I can't help you.

It's also not B&H's fault, as was already stated. Take it up with UPS, not B&H.
