My car shows the price as being $1391 for the body + IS kit lens, but the price on the site shows it to be $1399.00.... Weird.. I guess there is an $8 glitch in our favor!?

When I did it, the $8 was for firedog support. When I deleted that, the price of the camera went up to $1,399.

The tax for me (in NJ) is $98 which offsets the savings. I can get the same thing from B&H for $1,499 without sales tax (but I would have to pay s/h).

well if you have AAA you get an extra 10% off that's $1259.99 + tax (the price I paid for mine)
They had it a few Sundays ago at $1319.99 and with the AAA discount that made it $1187.99 + tax too bad they wont price match even though I had a print out, they said my print out didn't have a date on it .....
