Joe,
Nice shots there. I'd be interested to know how large these deer are. As I remember the deer in Texas, they are the size of medium to large dogs.

BobOh, though I am from East Texas I am working in NW Arkansas and these were shot in the edge of Fayetteville, AR. The buck was young and not very big. His rack was thin and I never could really tell if he was a 5 or 6 point. I was at least 100 yards from him so these pictures are cropped quite a bit. We do have some larger deer around here, much larger than him, but nothing like the deer in Wisconsin.

I also posted some shots of 3 other deer along with another shot of this buck. The larger doe was by far the largest of these 4. I suspect the two smaller deer were her young from this past spring as they stuck pretty close to her.

The deer are smaller in Texas but medium to large dog? How big are your dogs?
Took these with a P&S in South Texas.
