Spotted on the street of Bangkok last week. Don't ask me what is the purpose of this vehicle ... Maybe somebody can help?

Interesting! I'm also quite curious if it serves a purpose :)

Maybe he was expecting rain? I've never seen something like that before.
See if you can sneak it into the "trains" thread? :D

Thanks for nice comments all.

Dan, I guess you're right. That must be some sort of food vendor, using very visible marketing gimmick.

Frank, what a great idea to post this in "Trains" - let's see if I have guts to do it ...

Mobile food vendor?

This would be my guess, the vent to exhaust heat and odors.

It seems like they are always doing some crazy with bicycle like contraptions either something like this. Or crazy like packing on a few dozen or so filled trash bags. You gotta do what you gotta do I guess Lol

In Bangkok you really are allowed to make this kind of weird setups and go around the city without disturbing the others. I like that. ;)

I would say it's a chinese, and it's not far from the chinese market ... They have ton's of those food stands, where they frie the strangest things. Sure in the rain season they must have some protection to cover it all when returning home. You can see the rearviews and such too !

This is very true! The spot of the shooting was very close to China Town, and red is definitely the color of that part of the town.
