General Chat: Free chat about anything - but preferably related in some, even weird, way to photography

Well, it seems that anything might be a little liberal in this topic
description. Don't you dare mention free web based email services from
Google lest you be censored or simply have your message deleted.

I'm sorry you seem to be taking this so personally. For the record, I did not delete any of your messages. The only censoring I did was to remove a reference to your offer of free Gmail in the thread title. I did not change the substance of the thread which was a listing of a 67mm lens cap for sale.

I also sent you a PM notifying you of the change. I explained that this was the policy of the forum based on our desire not to appear to be endorsing a controversial service.

If you feel I handled this improperly, please let me know how you think I should have handled it differently.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Will someone tell me how gmail is controversial? What happened?

Ok, I'll say now something.

Gmail related messages, if they are not related to photography, (99% of cases this means invitations) will be deleted because I want them to be deleted. They do not have anything to do with photography and this is not an ad service for even free (non-photo) services.

I would imagine only gmail posts that would be related to photography are discussions about attachment sizes.

I hope you can simply just drop gmail as a topic on this forum and continue the daily business. Net it FULL of other forums which are computer related which are very happy to see gmail invitations.

If you have friends here on this forum who you think would perhaps like an invitation please use PM for discussing them.

Thanks for listening :)
