Try this (assuming you're in Photoshop): Change the image mode to Lab. Click on "Lightness" in the Channels palette. If you like the direction it takes the image, covert to Grayscale mode, then to RGB. You can then paste the eyes back in if you'd like to use color. Use a Curves adjustment layer to fine tune the image. Thanks, I`ll try this later Stiansen
