This was about to be a throw away until Sue (TSEE) convinced me it was worth saving. Even using a car as a shield and a tripod, there was no way to keep the camera steady as a winter gale belted the Cleveland coastline. I threw some blur on it and played in sat/levels to bring out the mood. I'm weak in PS stuff so bear that in mind. Anyway, here's what it's like when it's stormy around here..

footnote, thanks Sue, I appreciate your help and advice.

I think this is a powerful image. You've done a very good job considering the conditions! I like it.

I love the low angle from which you shot. Great capture. Has that 'maritime painting' feel about it.

Thanks Shaky and Mike! That was exactly the feel I was going for with it. Kinda how I saved it from the trash bin if you know what I mean.

Glad you all like it. The lake really offers up some pretty cool stuff.

:) I was wondering if you were gonna post it! You know me...love lighthouse pictures and I still thank you for taking the time to show me a gale. :)

There's so much here that makes it unique but the best part of this image is the gull, and of course the drama of the whole scene, well done.

wow, thanks! I think you are all far too kind. Now that it looks like this one has become a keeper , I think I may work just a bit more on it. I appreciate the kind words and encouragement. Thanks.

Very Nice....really like the energy captured in the shot...make a big print of it and whomever stands before it is going to want to put on foul weather gear. :)

Cheers

I like this shot, but I think it needs the top 1/4 cropped. Gives it a more pano feeling.

Wow, now this is a very nice pic. I'm at a lost for words:) I don't know why you considered this a throw away pic.

Again, thanks all! The only reason I stayed away from a crop was b/c I didn't want to lose the lighter clouds in the upper left hand part. Maybe I'll try it anyway and see how it looks. Gotta love "save as"
