Wrist strap attachment question

I did a search for this and came up empty. I've been using the Canon hand strap on the 10D + big ed for almost a year now, but I don't think I'm actually attaching it correctly. It just looks a little "funky". It works, and it's very comfortable, but I'm wondering if someone who knows the *right* way to attach it can maybe post a picture, link, or detailed instructions? I ordered it from B&H and it didn't have instructions included. I've perused the Canon web site to see if there were instructions available online, but I didn't find any if there are.

It works, so what the hey, but I'd at least like to know how I'm really supposed to attach it. It just doesn't look 'right'.

David -

Don't feel alone, it's tricky. The trickiest part is that the instructions are with the BG-ED3 grip and not with the strap (as you would think).

If you don't have the grip manual anymore, I have a scan of the instructions on my website below--just scroll to the bottom, click on Equipment Review, and the instructions are at the bottom of the page.

Hope this helps.

If you go to the Canon website, find the download area under support, and download the 1Ds manual. The instructions are on page 36.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

THANKS!

Man, do I feel like an idiot! I've had the instructions all along with the grip.

Thanks for the info. I can't claim a "blond" moment, but how about a receding hairline moment? That should be worth something.

I'm also wondering why that other thread didn't show up in the search, I must have just missed that too. Okay, I'll go quietly put the strap on correctly and pretend this never happened. :P

Thanks again
