Don't think I've taken photos of a 1 year old before.. Hats off to the children photographers out there.. its hard work getting that age group to sit and look at the camera LMAO! Heaps of fun though!

Wow. Excellent work! HThe only cc I would have is that his face is a little blown out (on the side in colour) maybe? Especially in the B&W version. Looks beautiful otherwise.

Thanks Samdasurfinman! I did notice it was a little blown out on babys face, but it was the only shot I got where he was actually looking at the camera lol .

Nice work. I have a 2yr old that is suffering from ants in her pants too. At least the newborns tend to keep still. What did you do for lighting in this shot? Backdrop?

Cheers. Keep up the great shots!

They were surrounded by massive windows so there was lots of natural window lighting to the right of the photo.
I also had a flash set up off camera into an umbrella to the left of the photo. The back drop is just a plain white backdrop that I made whiter in photoshop.
This was all set up in the dining room and they were sitting on the dining table.. lol.. Shot with my 20d and 17-40mm :)

Aside from the hot side yeah its a great shot...1yr olds are hard to capture....you move around and get quite the work out photographing them. UGH...which reminds me I need to think about my son's 18 month session in a month, I don't want to! LOL

Congrats, you got a great pic :)

The little girl is so pretty! I wish her head was more on the same plain as his, because his appears huge compared to hers.
