Being that it is close to Christmas, what is the must have accessory for the Rebel? I don't have a lot of money so something reasonable. I am learning that nothing is really cheap though.

Grip, flash, extra batteries, remote shutter release, a polarizer, extra memory, bulb blower and and lenspen, camera bag, 50mm f1.8, camera straps...

BG-E3 or a 430ex would be on my list on xmas must haves. Already own them so next on my list is the 17-70mm f/2.8 lens

cheapest accessory, a wireless release, which is a must, costing you around 25 if money is tight. you can also buy a tripod, look to spend at least 50. I have one of these, very happy. heavy, but good if you are not traveling with it
