I know most recommends getting the Canon grip instead of the cheaper Opteka model. $100.00 different in price.

I've had zero problems with the Opetka model on my Rebel XT, but concern about getting one for the 40D.

My question: Is anyone happy with their Opteka grip on a Canon 40D.

LOL. I was just about to ask the same question. You beat me to the post. I've been holding out on some "hope" that maybe Canon will come to their senses and release one with the AF-On button...or Opteka or a 3rd party would do it. Maybe this mysterious January Canon anoucement will include something about a new grip? LOL.

Feels great, good build and in my hands, Feel no difference.

Thanks for the input. I had heard of some problems, but I trust the posters on this forum over reviewers on some retails sites.
