Does anyone remember the site that counts the eagles by the locks & dams on the Mississppi River? If my memory serves me the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers posts the numbers, however I did not see them on their website.

There are 100s near the open waters around dams & power plants. I think the highest counts are in February.

Thanks

But I see no mention of Bald Eagles on that link.

I did not find any either. I do remember someone posting with reference to counts at one of the locks.

Thanks for the link anyway.

Last year I asked two guys who work at one of the Dams in Wisconsin (s. of La Crosse) and they said best time, in general, was the week 'tween Christmas and New Years. But, it is so weather dependent.
