Camera cleaning

How much does this usually cost to have your camera (dslr) cleaned? I am going to take mine into the local store, but i don't want to get ripped off... Just looking for what the general price range is. Thanks

I think that the price is going to be all over the map depending on the store. I would guess that somewhere under $50 is on the high side and something closer to $25 on the low side. Of course, you could invest the $50 in a cleaning kit and learn to do it yourself. For an idea of what it takes, check out this site.

One local facility will do it for $100...another gets $39.95...either way...it is a whole lot cheaper and convenient to do it yourself.

For what it's worth, I change lenses all the time & haven't seen a dust spot for months.
