I just purchased an Epson R380 just so I could print stuff, but I'm really saving up for an R1800 or even R2400. I really want to get a continuous ink flow system and have looked into Media Street. I read a magazine article recommending Media Street CIS. What do people think about MS? Has anyone used their line of papers? If I do get MS, then I would want to purchase their trial paks of paper.

Anyone use Red River Papers? Would it be ok to use with MS?

I had an inkrepublic CIS on a R800 that worked very well until I ldidn't use it for a month.
Nozzles clogged and couldn't be cleared, not covered by Epson warranty because of third party inks. Scrapped printer.

Does your i-Remove cleaning kit use up a bunch of ink in the process? Is it easy to use? What are the benefits of the i-Ink2 system over the system you would be upgrading from?

No. It uses our own cleaning fluid.
The installation instruction is on our website knowledgebase-

In i-INK2, we re-designed O-Ring, damper for better flow rate, also we use an external filter that can be replaced over time. http://www.inkrepublic.com/KnowledgeBase/e-Filter.asp (external link)

By the way, we will be releasing Pro 3800 i-KING system for Epson Pro 3800 printer. We plan to ship 3800 i-KING system around March 20. We will put more product information on our web site soon.

Thank you,

InkRepublic Team

Quick update in case anyone is interested, have received a new set of dampers and cleaning kit from Ink Republic free of charge. (Actually received it weeks ago but had forgot about this thread)
Ink Republics customer service can not be faulted.

Mastineo,

Thanks for the updates. Not sure if the i-Remove clean kit and new damper would do the trick to you. Please keep us posted or send us an email customercare@InkRepublic.com (external link)

Thank you,
