Hi all,
To those that have been around awhile, they know I have not been around a lot. In fact, I missed the release of the 20D! Oh well...
Ok, so I was on the USS Intrepid and was taking pics of Concorde. I had the 10D which has 10,850 actuations now, a Lexar 1GB CF Card, the Canon 16-35mm F2.8L and Big Ed w/ 2 batteries. I was shooting and then all of the sudden I get an Err 99. I think that it is odd so I turn it off then back on. When it fired up, it showed 00 in the aperature with the lens on. Ok, so I fiddled with it and sure enough it came back on. I found that there is some corrosion on the contacts where the camera and lens meet. So this is just another one for everyone that has gotten it, something else to look at/try/fiddle with. This just goes to show it happens w/ Canon lenses too.
Cheers,
Canuck
Gone are the posts of the 10D being a "wonderful" camera. Forgotten are the rights of initiation for those MKII owners who cut their teeth on the 10D. Oh the embarrasment of it all
. I am assuredly resigned to pseudoism even before I have my 20D
