Today's price on Amazon for kit is $2606.95

Sell off the kit lens that can fetch a minimum of $860.00 and, if you are willing to get the Pixma Pro 9000 printer, you get additional $500 rebate.

Bottom line:

$2606.95+$404 (for printer) - $860.00(sell kit lens) - $500 (rebate) - $320 (sell the printer). = $1350.

That is if you get those kinds of prices for the kit lens and printer. Wish I had the $$ right now, i'd *yoink* one of those quick and get a used L-Lens.

I know, sounds like alot of work of rebates and selling and crap, but I think its a pretty good deal.

Because when you get the camera combined with a canon printer, you get $100 rebate...Oh wait...you get $100 when you get the camera and a Epson P-5000 multimedia storage viewer.
Then if you get a canon Printer its $400. So perhaps it was a mis-read?
But still $400 is good. Then if you feel like selling the miltimedia storage viewer you get $100, + whatever you sell the Epson P-5000 for: Epson P-5000 (external link)
Plus, I just saw, you get a free tamrac neck strap with qualifying DSLR purchase from amazon.

But initially, you end up spending another, what, $600 for the Media device. I don't know what the sell for on ebay though...hmm.

Holy crap..If you sell all that stuff, printer, media device, lens(say $1000), and get the rebates, you have a BNIB 5D for $1191. Yowza.

I actually found a different rebate that shows $400 and $100 off. Without buying the Epson P-5000.

That one still says one rebate for the camera, $400, one rebate for the printer, $100. Where did you see the whole $500 w/ no printer?

Epson P-5000 isn't a printer. The rebate I attached is -$400 for camera and the other one is -$100 for printer. There is no Epson P-5000 in the rebate details. Just the 5D and Pro 9000

Right, but on Amazon there's a $100 rebate for the Epson Media Device. I guess the rebate comes from epson (who are stellar when it comes to rebates by the way)

The other Canon $100 rebate is for the Canon Pixma printer. Oh, I see what you're saying now...$500 when you get the camera and printer.
I was saying earlier that you had to get the media device, but you don't...Gooder deal!

It looks like they just raised the price of the 5D + 24-105L to $2800.
