I am only guessing but I read it to mean that the rise of a Dictator within the German political system, post WW1 was inevitable. It was not a reference to the Dictators actions.

As a decendent of survivors, I remind you Hilter did not stand there pulling the trigger. hundreds of thousands of people from countries all over Europe aided and abetted the slaughter either actively or passively. Of course, there are stories of great heroism and personal risk taken by some to help rescue othewise doomed people.

Weird topic for the christmas weekend. God bless everyone here and their families and hope you have a great 2008.
