i have a canon G5 with a 128mb compact flash memory.
problem is, i can read the pictures i took in the camera but the card reader i bought for the pc.. won't read the memory.
what could be causing this to malfunction? any comments?
i've tried with diff. computers the result is the same. it won't work.

Have you tried with another card ? Looks like you might have a bad card reader.

The card reader might not be 100% compatible.

Best regards,
Andy

You can use Type I and Type II CF cards in your G5 but some readers will only read one or the other.

You might want to go to the site of the card reader manufacturer and try and download the latest drivers. It might make it work...it might not.

Good luck!

If you are using a Lexar media card it has its own USB interface and will likely not work with any other cards. You will have to use the lexar reader for the lexar card and the non lexar card reader for all else. I had this problem with my lexar card/reader. Went to use the reader that came with the lexar card for other cards and they would not read.

If your card/reader != Lexar then PUNT :-)
