I was a bad boy today. :D Now have a new 40D and a canon 10-22 on the way to ME!! MERRY CHRISTMAS to me!! I have to say it was all caused you, the people on this forum. My credit card thanks you and so do I. Oh, also ordered 2 Sandisk Extreme III 4gb cards to go with it. Will also be looking at a 50 1.4 later for low light pics of my new grandbaby due in July.

Hopefully still young enough to do both.

Congrats!

Enjoy your grandchild!

Hey, it's all in the name of proper documentation of the new family member, no one can argue with that one!

Thanks all. It has been the best money I have spent in a long time for all this stuff. Can go out and just lose myself and forget the rest of the rat race. We ALL need that.

well done.. enjoy those toys... my 50 1.4 has been the most fun, most creative, and had the most outstanding results of all my gear... (results wise more for the depth of field... - nothing jumps off the page more than a bubby with background beautifully blurred...)

You'll love it when/if you get one...

This shot is in the morning in my room with bugger all light.. just some natural coming in off the blinds.. still managed 1/200s with f2.0 ISO 500... coulda halved the ISO - not alot of time when theyre being super cute though.. :)
