Aka 'Cherry Blossom'

Gah, you know I finally understand how important good lightning can be especially for macro shots, I just couldn't get the brightness/color to come out the way I wanted it to. Macro lights are so expensive though lol.

This is a dwarf/bonsai version of the Prunus Serrulata "Cherry Blossom" tree, its quite small about 13 inches tall. The flowers are i'd say the size of a dime. Its not suppose to bloom now, but two flowers already did, which is probably a very bad thing. I will have to keep a close eye on it.

You are making me very jealous!! What a beautiful tree to have as a bonsai!! How old is it? Please post a full pic of the tree.:) Great pics but maybe you can lighten it with the software on your PC. Most graphic programs will do it.

Take 2, I know, I have bad lighting, need some high sun, or better flash.
Unfortunately no editing software at moment, though I know there's a few free ones like google's picasa, just been a bit lazy with installing :)

I have only this one bonsai, but plan on picking up another soon maybe after winter. I'd like to get a Japanese maple next those are gorgeous.

The tree is about 8 years old I think.
Here's a full pic:

Didn't have much time to work with it, not suppose to be inside for to long especially with heat. Its suppose to be in its dormant stage.

Thanks for comments, will need to work on better lighting.

The Maples are really beautiful. But start your own, it is really wonderful to see them grow. Look for small trees in the forest or somewhere and plant them in a proper dish.

Prunus Serrulata Take 3 :)

Take 3, and look a third flower spouted, with a fourth underway, oh well guess this little guy doesn't wanna wait till spring, the weather has been strangely warm past couple days. Might have to indoor it since its not stopping. This time around I played a bit with some post work, I got the colors the way it looks to the eye. I wasn't to happy with the composition the fourth bud is bit distracting. oh well, take 4 will look better I suppose :).

There's a certain type of Cherry Blossom Tree that has very thin and few branches. When you look at it from far away it almost looks as if the flowers are floating about in mid air. Its quite a sight to see.

Thanks everyone for the input (keep em coming!),
hope you all have happy holidays.
