Epson 2200 roller marks

I am getting roller lines on my print from the front roller wheels on my printer.

There is a firm which provides a simple little tool (about $2) which sorts this as Epson's cleaning paper doesn't work very well. I can't find this firm.

Anyone know the url - or a good (simple please) way of sorting this problem?

Are you using Epson Paper and ink and setting the correct paper type in the print driver? I have a 2200 and the only time I had that problem was when I tried to use Kodak paper.

I had that problem when I used Epson paper that was not made for the 2200.

I'm actually using Olmec paper but have had no problems with it in the past, having printed hundreds of prints without a problem.

My problem started when I incorrectly set up the printer for CD-R work.

I have seen a remedy for this from a company in the US that did bulk ink for the 2200. Can't find it now though.

Had the same problem once, but printer hadn't been used for a bit ... went through the maintenance procedure and lines disappeared ...

Had it happen on my 2200 when the roller was too tight. Had it happen on my Canon printer when my 3 yr old hid chocolate in my printer

The real problem with the roller marks is that the ink isnr absorbed into the paper by the time it passes over them. You may find other papers that wont do this, but you WONT have that problem with Epson papers.

If you are hellbent on using that paper, get adventurous with your phillips screwdriver and remove the rollers.

Interestingly enough, I tried using Epson cleaning paper designed for many Epson printers, but not the 2100, A4 size, one side printed the other clear, and much thicker than the cleaning paper that came with the printer.

Voila!! Marks now cleared (ink shown on paper) problem solved and I am again, a happy bunny.

Now, why don't Epson put that paper in with the printer!!
