Two nights ago we had a clear sky and full moon about our cottage. Unfortunately this Christmas we don't have any snow.

This lower part of the picture is an HDR of three exposures, the sky is from one shot only, overlaid on top of HDR.

I'm glad the two circles around the moon are visible in the processed shot as well - they are not lens reflections, but created by the small ice crystals in the air. The tiny bright white spot at 8 o'clock from the moon is planet Mars.

Merry Christmas to every POTN member!

Cheers and thanks, Bill and SB. - Yes, a postcard came into my mind when I was processing this. :)

Looks Thomas Kinkade-ish

Have to admit that I didn't remember the name, but when I googled and saw the some paintings I immediately recognized them. This Thomas is a true HDR painter, see e.g. this (external link). - Thanks for making this undeserved connection. ;)
