There are two threads describing what was the best and worst of 2007 and they have been very interesting to reads. So now it's time to map out the new year. I'm sure that you all got the B&H bible sitting next to the throne and you have had all year to study it, so what are you planning to add to your arsenal next year?

I'm pretty set body wise so my next big purchase is the MPE-65. Some of those pics in the macro forum coming from this lens are simply astounding. 1:1 is just not enough. The second thing on my list is a master flash. I have the 430 now but am getting into photographing real estate (indoors) and some of these rooms just cant be filled with a single flash so a 580EX II is also on my list.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I'll probably finally upgrade my computer next year. It's now four years old, and while it still runs fine, it really is time for something new.

Maybe 2008 will be the year I finally get that 5D I've been lusting after for so long, too.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Hmm.. PC upgrade, I might have to put that on the list as well. I haven't touched my PC in almost three years and though it's still running great, It is about that time.

Hmm the new Sportster looks like a great machine. Years ago I baby sat my cousins 900XL Sportster. I think it was maybe a '69 or a '70. That was a great bike but it's brakes were horrible. It had two drum breaks and when you got it over 50, they just didn't have the stopping power a bike that size needs. :)

Definitely going to upgrade to the 24-70/2.8 L as a walk-around lens. Also want to get a remote shutter release, mono-pod, handstrap, external backup hard drives (permanent and portable), new bag and maybe some other things I can't remember.

Hmmm.. Tipod. Mine right now is a real piece of crap, both of them. The legs themselves are not too bad but the head is horrible. Not smooth at all and it's easier to place shims under the legs for fine tuning than it is to make a head adjustment. The head just sticks too much.

Oh, and if I have cash leftover after my Nightster and all the gear, I want to upgrade to a 40D... hopefully Canon will figure out all the bugs by then!

There's not enough room on this page to describe what I need/want next year or what I will be getting.

Let's just say...ALOT! I hope ;)
