Used the 20D here this afternoon and will use it again tomorrow. It's for taking pics so why would you use anything else. If you use a SLR or DSLR for 25 years they become a natural.

you didn't make a place in the poll for cell phone camera, that's how I usually document the drunken crazies. So one vote for cell phone camera.

Or a brand new XT for $409?

Already have one that is like new (other than this mistake) and can probably get it fixed cheaper than 409$. I'll get it fixed and in the meantime order a 30d and use the xt as a backup.

Well, I didn't take any photos this morning. Both my wife and I came down with a virus yesterday, which got worse during the night. Then we were awoken at 4:30 by my stepson who was racing up and down the stairs, taking presents from under the tree to his room to unwrap! Needless to say we both feel groggy and somewhat under the weather. Hence my wife said no photos of her and I really didn't feel like taking any anyway.

Bummer. my wife got sick as well and missed the xmas festivities. It seemed to have passed me and my boys by so we went off to the family holiday party and left her home, alone and sick. :( SHe slept the day and night away anyway so I don'y think she missed us any.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I voted for "none, someone else can take the pics."

I am not big into people pictures and plenty of others around have their cameras out so its all good ;)

P&S
Dropped my xt this morning and now it doesn't focus

Ouch. I dropped my 24-70L yesterday, and now it won't focus.

I shot Christmas with 5d + 24-105 and 100 Macro.

400D. But my family didn't go to any big family things, just had a quiet one at home then visited the grandparents the next day so not many pics. I took about a hundred photos of the christmas decorations around the house though experimenting with the nifty 50 though.
