Your wall has an accent? One of our walls in the guest bedroom has a slight lithp, but no accent.

Weird, I s'pose I'm sort of used to it.

Yeah. After a while, I guess you would. Still, hard to explain the odd accent in a wall. Especially one of those Baltic accents. There's just no explaining that kind of accent.

Now that I've had my 40D for a while I've noticed that battery life isn't as good as it was on the 30D.

Really? Is it smaller? I have always been pretty happy with canon battery life. The 1Ds has a small car battery but is supposed to get like 1300 shots.

Oh yeah Crissa that battery runs your IS in the 70-200 and I bet it draws more than your other lens.

Adjust the photo review time... the 3" screen does draw more... and if you turn your camera on and off a lot the sensor cleaner will draw some power... and tons of LiveView usage will REALLY suck the battery.

It is the same battery. My 30D is amazing with battery life. I had a freshly charged battery for my mayor event thing the other day, after my trip to the city today I am showing 1 bit left on the battery. Unheard of for my 30D but seems par for the course on the 40.

Also, I haven't updated my firmware, is this really an issue?

Crissa that 70-200 is a lot more lens than your 17-55 and Scott has some good points.
