Really? Is it smaller? I have always been pretty happy with canon battery life. The 1Ds has a small car battery but is supposed to get like 1300 shots.

I have a grip on my 20D. I charge my batteries maybe once every two months... I have two pair (one set of Canon and another set of Sterlingtek) that I cycle between. They seem to last forever for me.
