I put it on for the last 15 minutes up in the kitchen and I was rooting for the green guys for you and Permi but it clearly did not help. Sorry I did my best rooting too. Thanks Zack. I was having a hell of a time getting a good exposure though. Very sunny day, animals in the shade under black screen like awnings with the white limestone reflecting in the background for some dandy blown highlights. cfpackerfan wrote in post #4745916 BOBBY! On my cwappy monitor the differences are negligible as far as noise was concerned. I followed the link to Jason's comparison on his blog. In that test noise was again negligible but I could see some differences in resolution by looking at the white round piece of coral in the image. Do whats right HERE

More info | What a great-lookin' couple BearLeeAlive wrote in post #4741927 Deb, getting used to manual exposure is a great way to learn about the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and film (sensor speed), and something I think everyone should get a grip on. When I learned I had no choice, as that is all there was. Shortly after AV and TV cameras started coming out. I hardly ever shoot in manual now, but use AV or TV. If you are relying on the camera metering for exposure you get the same result. If you need to expose higher or lower than what the camera metering says, I then adjust the Exposure Compensation (EC) to get it right. When I first started using the EC I was always confused as to which way to go. I worked out a little helping saying, "If the background is bright, go to the right" (basically exposing a bit more). Now if I shoot a subject with a dark background I know to move the EC over to the left so I don't over expose the subject. \Hey! Thanks for the tip! Miniflash wrote in post #4744781 Thanks Dan , its my first attempt at manual settings >~~~~~~~insert proud face here ..Excellent rant, Deb! Congrats Permagrin wrote in post #4745339 seriously, this game is killing me! It can't be a Pats/Giants superbowl. I would HATE the game for the first time in my life my two worst teams would be playing.
T.D. wrote in post #4745576 These penalties by the Packers are making me crazy! If they lose, the penalties will be the primary reason. Hubby moved away from me after the third penalty in one drive. JWright wrote in post #4745773 New England will kick the c*** out of whiney Eli...
Permagrin wrote in post #4745881 me either...Whiny Manning is my least favorite player in the sport. I will have to root for the pats and that's literally gonna kill me. I may as well go play in front of a train... Mine, too. Ick. Crybaby mama's boy. Terri |GEAR|
