I collect Willow Tree figurines.

I got 2 new ones this year from the kids.

THIS ONE (external link) from my boys, and THIS ONE (external link) from Marian.

There is just something about them that elicits deep emotion from me. I love them, and every single one I have has such deep emotional meaning for me.

those are sweet, Cat. What nice gifts :)

I think I have one that a friend got me. Looks something like that anyway.

No, you didn't miss anything :) I hadn't mentioned it. Hubby found a cool mini-studio for me :D I haven't had a chance to set it up, but will do so first thing over the weekend. It is portable and folds up on itself, with special pockets for the lights, and includes two backgrounds!

Show us a picture!

I have to tell you a funny story.

On Sunday, we had our 'St George family' Christmas party. 3 of my brothers, and 1 sister. It really was fun, had a great time. It is rare that all of us get together at the same time here.

Anyway, Sharon sneaks into the kitchen and hands me a gift. (We draw names in the family, and she hadn't drawn us, so I wasn't expecting anything). It was a stocking with a nice bottle of Merlot.

I said... "Aww! That is so sweet! Thank you". :D
She says... "I didn't know what kind you liked, so I asked the store.
This is what they told me.
So.. put it in the freezer to get it cold quick, and open it. I'd love to try some Mer- lot." (Pronounced with the T)
I said... "Um, you drink it room temperature"
She looked at me like I was crazy, and said "Nevermind. Gross. You got a beer? "

Yes, she loves it. It's a great camera. That facial recognition business is pretty slick. It'll even do it with more than 1 face in the frame!

I will. Next weekend :)
By the time company left and wrapping paper debris cleared away, I just didn't have the will to drag everything out :)
It is on my schedule for first thing Saturday morning!

Yes. Here in Utah, we are few and far between. And only one liquor store. They know me. :p
