Thank you, Lisa I have some to learn, I struggled with the lights and eliminating shadow. But it was totally fun! I gave hubby an extra hug after I finally got to play with it today!
Which was after we had to make a trip into Coos Bay for a replacement bulb One was bad right out of the box.

I have been fighting with the system. I tried to update my sig the other day, and kept getting the 'you have too many lines' message.
Jon told me what to do to work around that, so I have been trying to get my previous links back in. It has been a tad frustrating, but I think I have it now.
Although, I can't seem to change the font color anymore.

Looks like the lens is a winner, John!

There's going to be a little bit of a learning curve. I realized today how much I've come to depend on IS. Since this lens is not stabilized I have to remember to keep my shutter speed up, but still use enough aperture to achieve reasonable DOF.

Thanks. I couldn't tell you what the plant was except that it was some kind of palm. It was alongside a set of stairs and I thought it would be a good subject for the lens.

Found out yesterday, one of Curt's cousins lives near you. She is taking classes in a specialized dance Eurythemnic something or other. Anyway I asked her if she is anywhere near the Tapan Zee bridge she said she thinks as she sees signs for it all the time when she is driving She move out there last September.
