I just found out my step-dad isn't doing too good.

So sorry to hear this Lonnie. I'll be glad for you too, when this year is over.

OK, a couple from the first outing with the new lens...

Very nice, John. I love that lens and use it as my walk about lens.

Anyone want to come over for new years?
We're making some yummy foods....

bacon wrapped jalapenos
artichoke dip
Hot wings
many fancy cheeses with some pretty fancy crackers

lots of different beverage choices...

it will be a blast. Come. really. It would be fun.

Would if we could. For the company more so but as well as for the food.

Lonnie sorry about your step dad are you close with him?

I never really thought of him as family, but he is a very nice guy. I care more about him than I do my mother.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

DEB!!!

Found out yesterday, one of Curt's cousins lives near you. She is taking classes in a specialized dance Eurythemnic something or other. Anyway I asked her if she is anywhere near the Tapan Zee bridge she said she thinks as she sees signs for it all the time when she is driving  She move out there last September.

Does she live in NY? Cool Becky maybe you can come visit :)

Sorry, I'm in and out, so it appears that I'm not really paying attention. But I am. Honest. Just sporadically.

That's me to a T!

Have I mentioned lately how great all you guys are?

Just wanted to let you all know how much your friendship means to me.

Thank you. Really.

CAT CAT CAT!!!

WE GOT CAT CANDY!!!

Thanks so much, Cat. We saw it tucked behind our porch-post this morning. I have no idea how long it's been out there. Can't wait to tuck in! :D

I just found out my step-dad isn't doing too good. In fact, he almost died today. He went into kidney failure and had to have emergency surgery to remove a large section of his colon. The doctor's aren't too optimistic about his chances for survival.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Lonnie. I hope that you manage to get to see him soon.

I doubt I will. I won't have a chance to go to Florida any time soon.

Hello all you fine folks. :D

Another busy day for us yesterday. Went and did some local sightseeing during the day while my wifey shopped. Last night my BIL's in-laws were all over. A great bunch who were lots of fun. I hadn't seen them since my BIL's wedding 21 years ago.

Today is a trip into Lower Manhattan for some sight seeing with Lisa's B&SIL, then dinner. Back in to Mountain Lakes tonight for a local party.

We are headed into Manhattan tomorrow night, a day early to make our stay there 4 nights, and give us 3 full days there. Deb, I left you a message at home, we are hoping you have some time tomorrow afternoon to spend with us. :)

I did skim through this thread, I have not even attempted any of the share type threads.

Me, me... I want to come. How long's the drive?

About 7-8 hours depending on traffic and how many times you stop. You better leave NOW if you want to be here before the good stuff's gone. ;)
