Just a note, all of the remotes and timer switches like the one you noted that have the N3 on the back of its name refer to the connection type and the 30d, 40d... all have N3 plug. If I were you, I would go with the TC-80N3, spend some more money but get so much more.

tunin, Thanks for the suggestion. But I can spring for the $40 now. Just dropped $2000 3 days ago on stuff and am living in dangerous territory now.:D I can always look at that again later. This will be an inexpensive solution now as I want a 50 1.4 soon.

Remember that you wont be able to use the N3 with the XT, you need to get an adapter... Peace.
