Can you do this with two different types of lights?

Ok, I have a question, and it might be dumb so forgive me! haha. I currently have a 430EX and a cactus trigger/receiver. I am now thinking of adding to my collection of toys with an ABR800. Is it possible to have the ringlight connected to the PC sync on my camera and still have the cactus in the hotshoe triggering the 430EX so i can have both lights in the same shot? I have never heard of anybody doing that so i figured id ask! Thanks!

Yes, there is no technical reason why you can't do what you described.

Shouldn't you just be able to fire the 430EX with the wireless trigger, and have the ABR800 fire as a slave? This would save the trouble of the sync cord.

I wasnt aware that the abr800 had a slave feature. I just checked their website again, sure enough. Problem solved! Thanks tmonatr.
